SACAPHTA Attends UNODC Capacity-Building Workshop on Data and Policy Strategy in Abuja

The management staff of the Zamfara State Substance Abuse Control and Prohibition of Human Trafficking Agency (SACAPHTA) has successfully participated in a high-level capacity-building workshop focused on data collection, institutional reporting, and evidence-based policy decision-making. The training program, organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), was held at the UN House in Abuja and brought together key stakeholders and senior officials from across Nigeria’s anti-drug and anti-trafficking ecosystem. The workshop provided strategic insights on strengthening institutional reporting structures, enhancing case-tracking systems, and adopting global best practices for data-driven policy development. SACAPHTA remains committed to improving operational efficiency, strengthening accountability frameworks, and ensuring the deployment of international standards in the fight against substance abuse and human trafficking in Zamfara State. This participation further reaffirms the agency’s vision to become a model institution for prevention, enforcement, rehabilitation, and safe migration advocacy within the region.
